Not detected in the Golgi, nucleus and on the mitotic spindle. Centrosome-associated throughout the cell cycle. Not detected to interphase microtubules. .

Component of a regulated secretory pathway involved in Ca(2+)-dependent release of acetylcholine. Regulates formation of new microtubules.
