This gene encodes the 70 kDa subunit of MT-A which is part of N6-adenosine-methyltransferase. This enzyme is involved in the posttranscriptional methylation of internal adenosine residues in eukaryotic mRNAs, forming N6-methyladenosine. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Purified from mouse ascites fluids or tissue culture supernatant by affinity chromatography (protein A/G)

HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY METTL3 (Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-METTL3 (Cat# BD-PE4218)(1:2000). Positive lysates (100ug) and (20ug) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

Western blot analysis of extracts (35ug) from 6 different cell lines and 3 differenet tissue lysates by using anti-METTL3 monoclonal antibody (1:500).
