Inhibits the transcriptional repressor activity of REST by inhibiting its binding to DNA, thereby derepressing transcription of REST target genes. ; [Isoform 2]: Acts as a bridge between FOXP3 and the corepressor TRIM28, and is required for the transcriptional repressor activity of FOXP3 in regulatory T-cells (Treg).
